Towering high above the town of Mandawa, this rugged handsome fort guides the tired and weary traveller to its portals. Built in 1775 by Thakur Nawal Singh, descendant of Rao Shekhaji, who also founded the city of Nawalgarh. The Castle, now a 51 rooms hotel has no two rooms alike. It also houses an interesting collection of paintings, jade, costumes and antiques. The courtyard and the terrace come to live during evenings with candle-lit dinners and fire-dances during the season.

InThe Jai Niwas Resort was built by Thakur Jai Singhji in the early 1930's as a club house for the Mandawa family and their guests. Located just outside the minicipal limits of the Mandawa town, the Jai Niwas Resort was a pleasant get away for the rulers of Mandawa. Built in the colonial style, the club house boasted of a tennis court, croquet lawn, billiard table and even a swimming pool. Converted into a resort hotel, the Jai Niwas Resort offers guest a taste of the days of the Raj. The original club rooms have been converted into independent cottages

The Desert Resort built on a sand dune, was started in 1985 with 8 cottages. Built almost entirely with materials available locally, extensive surveys and research was first carried out in the area regarding the lifestyle of the villagers and the local architecture.
